Claudia Madrigal

I am excited and grateful for this opportunity to work at Valley Restart Shelter. A little bit of me and where I come from… First, I am a mother of two boys, and we like going hiking and grounding ourselves in nature. I love being at the beach because it brings me peace. I am originally from Valley Center Ca. Second, I hit rock bottom more than once and at different times throughout my life. It felt as if there was no way out, forever stuck in a revolving door… I am here today for a little over 4 years sober and pursuing my goals. I ampursuing my degree in Social Work and Human Services with emphasis in Alcohol and Other Drug Studies. I plan to continue my educational path in psychology and counseling to be able to work with at-risk youth because children are our future. I would like to contribute to guiding the youth who don’t have that support available because I was that child.​

 

My journey is about making a positive impact by helping others to overcome adversity. I lived a life of hardship filled with lived experiences that allow me to contribute a unique range of perspectives that will benefit this community. My passion comes from my past struggles and having a focused mindset and the
