Our Initiatives

Our primary focus is on homeless families with children and individuals who desire to change their circumstances and become more self-sufficient. Families and individuals who need a hand up, not a hand out.

Valley Restart focuses on those individuals that want to help themselves and restart their lives.

We provide families and individuals who find themselves homeless, due to individual circumstances, with shelter, food and clothing.

Valley Restart Shelter is expanding. Recently we've added six new pallet homes for our homeless senior community.

Take Part

There are so many ways you can take part of our vision. From volunteering to serve dinner to after school tutoring. We are always looking for eager volunteers.

I had so many struggles being on probation and having an open CPS case. I was on home

confinement when I came to my aunt’s house, and fighting with CPS for my children. I went

through hoops but I finally won them back.

We lived in the car for a month. It was so cold. My counselor from my substance abuse

group told me there was a shelter called Valley Restart. I went in and got an application.

The workers there were so friendly, answered all my questions, and I was placed on the

waiting list. A friendly case worker called me, and I was accepted into the shelter. I was so

blessed, they helped me so much. It was a stable and safe place where I could get back

on my feet.

I applied for IHSS again as a registered caregiver. Then I was able to go to school online

and save money. They helped me get my first apartment. I appreciate Valley Restart for their Joanna V.
support and care. Thanks to Valley Restart, I now live with my children in our own place after
being homeless.
